| The sixth annual World Autism Awareness Day
 World Autism Day was agreed by the United Nations in 2007. It aims to increase people's awareness about persons, especially children with autism.
It is intended to bring the world's attention to autism, a pervasive disorder that affects tens of millions, by encouraging member states to take measures to raise awareness about autism throughout society and to encourage early diagnosis and early intervention.
